Melissa VanTassel Legal Secretary

Melissa is an experienced administrative professional, with years of personnel, human resources and employee support. She graduated from Burlington High School in 2000 and continued her educational aspirations with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Sociology from Southwest Baptist University in 2000.

Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Stacy, and their son, Sebastian. As a family, they enjoy camping, fishing, swimming and all things outdoors. If the weather is nice, you may see her out riding her motorcycle or taking a bike ride through the countryside. If not outside, she is likely holed up in her craft room, surrounded by glitter glue and cardstock.

She feels blessed to be a part of the Slape & Howard Team and looks forward to continuing to serve the injured workers of her home state.
